The installation and position of the mount is good, however, the magnet does not hold very well. Every time I go over a bump the phone falls off. There has to be a better mount.

Easy to install, works as intended. I opted to mount on the front instead of the back as the back would be in the way of the passengers sitting area. If I put my phone to be center on the mount, my pinky hits it as I shift into 5th and 6th gear, but if I put the phone as right as possible with the metal piece on the middle of my phone, my pinky avoids hitting my phone but then its facing more towards the passenger. Overall, I like it

So I had another mount by ProClipUSA and it was magnetic and worked well - but it was an eye sore - clipping over the side panel - just not a clean look.
It did not work with my new MagSafe Case for iPhone so I started researching - decided to give this a try - WOW - It holds very firm and looks SO SO MUCH cleaner than the other mount.
I really like this phone mount - doesn't get in the way and looks nice.

I I previously had one of these mounts in an 987 Boxster
That would come off during “spirited” driving.
As I now have a phone with wireless charging,
I found that the “gravity grip” car charger I have now fits perfectly on the ball of this mount , so now i am able charge/hold and see my phone in my 981 Boxster using the rear console location on passenger side, and it’s just great!
I would venture to say that probably any phone mount that’s made with the same type of ball swivel will fit on this mount, try it If you find as I did that it may not be held in place with the magnetic mount

Instructions were easy and very well documented . The only part remotely tricky is pulling off the console trim piece. I didn’t need a tool, but I watched YT videos several times and was aware to be very careful with the trim attachment points as they have been known to break. Mine did not...however, I was sweating the prospect! It looks great and is functioning great for my PDK 991.1 S Cab 👍🏻

This mount is great for a number of reasons. It is almost un-noticeable as it fits like an OEM option. I recommend having a plastic trim tool for installation. The one issue I have is the magnet needed on the phone case. I normally use an inductive charger for my phone. The magnet needed for this mount will not allow for inductive charging.

Purchased this for a 2012 911 with PDK. Install was easy, instructions were clear, and it looks good in the car. Way better that the suction mounts or the ones that clip to a vent. Very solid mount.

I purchased two (2) of these Rennline phone mounts for both my 2017 718 and 2016 991 Turbo. Instructions are good - youtube reviews and the visuals help as well - note, Rennline has a youtube channel.
The hardest part of the process is removing the side panel, but they do come off and on well and once you do it, it becomes easier. The mount itself is built well, mounts solidly using an existing bolt and the panel goes back seamlessly. The mount functions well and I went with the side mount verse the PCM mount as the mount will interfere with the cup holder. The phone stays in place even under hard acceleration and braking.
