The 95B.2 update arrived as Porsche's first major reworking of the Macan formula, unveiled in Shanghai in July 2018 and rolling out through the 2019 model year lineup piece by piece rather than all at once. The base and S trims launched first for 2019, with the GTS and Turbo following roughly a year later once their new engines were ready, a staggered rollout that makes this generation a bit more fragmented year-to-year than the first.

The base Macan carried its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder forward but retuned to 248 hp, a small step down from the outgoing car's 252 hp figure. The bigger change came in the S, which swapped Porsche's own twin-turbo V6 for a single-turbo 3.0-liter V6 sourced from Audi, landing at 348 hp, a figure that sat between the outgoing S and GTS. When the GTS and Turbo returned for 2020, both adopted a new 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 in a hot-vee configuration, with turbochargers nested inside the cylinder banks for sharper throttle response. The GTS made 375 hp, and the Turbo topped the range at 434 hp and 405 lb-ft, good for 0 to 60 mph in around 4.1 seconds (3.9 with the Sport Chrono package). Visually, the 95B.2 cars are identified by a new full-width LED rear light bar and revised bumpers, and inside, Porsche fitted a substantially larger 10.9-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, replacing the smaller unit from the first generation.

The Turbo's run in this generation was short-lived. The 2021 model year was its last in the US before Porsche discontinued the trim entirely for 2022, folding its 2.9-liter engine into the GTS instead as the range's new performance flagship, a shift that marks the transition into the 95B.3 generation.
