Well worth the money, fantastic hadling
(San Diego (CA)) | August 14th, 2022
I had a mechanic install this on my 981 Cayman S (drilling was necessary but nothing out of the ordinary). First time I took the car to my favorite twisted road, I was literally impressed. The rear feels much more connected to the ground especially in hard cornering even win Sport mode (Sport plus engages the dynamic engine mounts to increase rear rigidity in cars with Sport Chrono pkg) . The ride comfort is the same . I'm so happy to be able to "feel" what the rear is going to do. Not surprised that this is stock in 981 GT4 and 781 series. Fantastic value for the money, strongly recommend if you enjoy spirited driving on your Cayman (and you should !). Also , didn't seem to have degraded the turn in capability so it's a real winner mod.
Piece of Cake Add On
(Sacramento CA) | May 13th, 2021
New to me 2013 Boxster S. Installation was a piece of cake. I think it took me more time to jack up the car than it did to install the brace. Additional brackets and bolts included. Went right in. As noted in other reviews, the brace has two holes in the tail for additional bolts. It only took a few minutes to drill the holes and drop in bolts. Easy DIY suspension upgrade.
Rear strut bar

2016 Cayman GTS, The hardware they sold me was not needed for my application, I reused my existing hardware, so that was a wasted 20 bucks. They didn’t send the 2 bolts that fastened it to my pan so I had to go buy some. It does keep the rear very flat during hard cornering.
Easy must do upgrade for 981

Kit came with new bolts and brackets which were needed for my 2015 Boxster base w/ PDK. Original bolts and brackets don't fit with the strut reinforcement bar so must use the provided one (unless you have S or GTS). Installation was dead easy. Undo 4 bolts, change 2 brackets, place strut reinforcement bar, put new bolts in, torque them to 17lb, done. Did the entire job from start to finish in 25 minutes. As for ride quality, there's no difference in daily driving although I do feel the rear to be more solid. Where it really makes difference is when I do hard turns - back end of the car feels way more solid than before and less chassis flex. Steering under hard turn is more predictable now thanks to the bar. Little less body roll at hard turns as well. Highly recommend the upgrade.
IF YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR OIL, YOU CAN DO THIS.

I don’t know why Suncoast recommends professional installation. The strut was a simple and easy bolt on project for my 981 GTS. Everything fits perfectly. I took on the additional, bigger task of removing the pan, drilling holes in the pan and bolting the pan to the strut. No big deal.
Good And Quick Add On

Install was easy.....bolts right on in 15 minutes. Torque bolts to 17ft. Lbs. My 2016 981S had the holes and nuts already welded in pan so used two M8 x 1 inch metric bolts with washers to bolt the strut down to pan. Kit comes with extra clamps and bolts, but I reused my old ones. These struts are factory OEM on 718’s.
Kit works on Cayman S

Received the kit on Tuesday and installed it immediately. Kit fit well. However the brace has an L profile and the tail of the L rests on the pan. The brace has two holes in the tail for what appears to be additional bolts. The pan would need to be drilled to match the brace holtes and bolts added. This would prevent the stamped sheet metal brace from flexing under load. A friend gave me a photo of the brace on a 718 and it had the extra bolts and nuts from the factory. It shouldn't be hard to find aftermarket parts for this, but the kit should provide them.
