Roof Rack - Carrera 996/997 SKU: 99680110500

I expected it to be a least as good for the price as the comparable Thule products, but I don't think it is. Maybe it is just an older design. One of the roof mounts had come apart in the box and I had to play with it for a while to see how to put it back together. A screw had fallen out of the roof rail and was loose in the box. A 6mm washer was gone, but I had one. And one of the barrel screw connectors stripped easily when putting in the screw. So, I switched it with one not being used. It works and looks good. I don's expect it to hold up well when it is mounted and removed several times over the coming months and years. I will be adding a cargo box for occasional road trips. I had considered the Porsche cargo box, but I will skip it and purchase a Thule.

This rack is great, fits the car nicely and looks good. Only thing, there's no instructions, but you can find good YouTube vids on these.

Product came in with a minor scratch on one of the supports. One of the supports was not fully installed with the metal bolt supports. All parts were included. Processing and shipping was comparatively fast. I’m very appreciative Suncoast was the only supplier that had in stock the Porsche 997 OEM Roof Transport System.

Bought 2 pieces, both work great. Need to get another piece, discount would be nice, if not thanks for product, service & shipping & Overall experience. Ray B. [email protected]
