The center muffler bypass is widely considered the ideal first exhaust modification for the 997.2 platform — and Soul Performance's version is the benchmark. Developed in consultation with top-tier Porsche tuners and engine builders, Soul Performance's design keeps the exhaust banks separate, mirroring the factory layout to prevent loss of low-end torque while increasing overall performance. The result is more flat-six growl, better flow, and zero drone — a refined upgrade that makes every drive more rewarding without compromising the character that makes the 997.2 special.

Sound Soul Performance engineered this bypass to amplify the existing exhaust characteristics of the factory system rather than replace them. Expect a moderate, refined increase in volume both on and off throttle, slightly increased in-cabin presence, and more growl and feedback from the flat-six — without the rasp or drone that crossover pipe designs can introduce.

Construction & Quality Soul Performance fabricates each system in-house at their Willow Grove, PA facility from mandrel-bent T304L .065" wall 2.5" diameter stainless steel tubing with laser-cut brackets. All welds are back-purged for maximum longevity under extreme conditions. Torca clamps are incorporated for the best possible fitment on older vehicles. Every system is built and tested in a thick-gauge aluminum fixture to prevent warping, rigorously quality-checked, and foam-packed for safe delivery. New high-grade bolts, washers, and nuts are included.

Warranty Coverage by Product Type

Genuine Porsche OEM Parts — 2-Year Warranty

All Genuine Porsche OEM parts purchased from Suncoast Porsche or SuncoastParts.com come with a 2-year, unlimited mileage, parts-only warranty beginning on the date of purchase.

If your parts are installed at an authorized Porsche Service Center, both parts and labor warranty coverage may apply if the part is deemed defective within the 2-year warranty period. Coverage varies by location — please check with your local Porsche dealer prior to installation to confirm their specific warranty participation, as each Porsche Center is independently owned and operated.

Important warranty notes for online purchases:

Labor, diagnostic, and installation fees are not covered when parts are purchased online from SuncoastParts.com or Suncoast Porsche, unless the parts are installed by an authorized Porsche Service Center
Warranty claims must be processed in person at an authorized Porsche Service Center
Warranty service is honored at any authorized Porsche dealer in the United States, however some dealers may decline warranty claims for parts purchased online or from another dealership — always verify with your local dealer before installation
If a warranty claim is approved and the part was not installed by a Porsche Service Center, installation of the replacement part remains the customer's responsibility

What This Warranty Does Not Cover

The following situations and conditions are explicitly excluded from warranty coverage:

Improper Installation or Misuse — Damage resulting from incorrect installation, negligence, unauthorized alteration, or accident. This includes any use in racing, competition, or motorsport applications
Lack of Proper Maintenance — Damage caused by failure to follow the vehicle's recommended Maintenance Schedule, or failure to use the correct fluids, fuel, oil, or lubricants as specified in the Owner's Manual. Proof of proper maintenance is the owner's responsibility — retain all service receipts in case questions arise
Consequential or Economic Losses — Towing fees, rental vehicles, loss of use, loss of time, inconvenience, or any other indirect economic losses
Vehicles Outside the USA & Canada — Parts installed on vehicles registered or primarily operated outside of the United States or Canada are not covered under this warranty

How to Obtain Warranty Service

Installed by an Authorized Porsche Dealer

If your parts were originally installed by an authorized Porsche dealer, warranty repairs may be performed by that same dealer or any other authorized Porsche Service Center in the United States. Please allow a reasonable timeframe for repairs after delivering your vehicle to the dealership.

Installed by an Independent Repair Shop

Please be aware: All warranty claims must be inspected, performed, and documented by factory-trained Porsche technicians at an authorized Porsche dealership. Work performed at an independent repair shop does not qualify for warranty consideration. If warranty coverage is a priority, we strongly recommend having your parts installed at an authorized Porsche Service Center.

Documentation Requirements for Warranty Claims

To process a warranty claim, the servicing Porsche dealer will require:

Your original sales receipt or order confirmation from SuncoastParts.com or Suncoast Porsche
A completed warranty certificate
Proof of proper vehicle maintenance history (if applicable)

Suncoast Porsche retains sales records on file for two years. If you need a copy of your receipt, contact us and we will provide it promptly.
