For all intents and purposes, the upgrade is essentially plug-and-play. Surprisingly, the retractable spoiler, tail lights, and bumper were easy to remove - simply undo some screws/bolts and disconnect some wire harnesses. Removing the diffuser from the bumper required patience - there were several stubborn tabs to remove and because you only get the valence, you have to disassemble the diffuser as well. Once again, this part required patience as there were several tabs and pieces that make up the diffuser that must be disassembled in order to reassemble with the new valence and fins. The rear valence that comes in the kit comes with pre-drilled holes and screws along with the fins to assemble with. The fit and finish is typical Porsche quality. Simply reassemble the diffuser, assemble into the bumper (use patience) and screw/bolt/click everything back into place. I did this without a lift and took about four hours from start to finish. I did this as an aesthetic enhancement - I believe the fins finish off the diffuser and provide a muscular, but elegant and finished look to the rear end. You can also argue that the fins will save your paint from being chipped or scared from the rear tires kicking up debris into the bumper.
