Easy replacement of my sticky knob and missing center piece of knob. Took no time at all. The cost of knobs is a little high, but it is a Porsche part.

My 8 year old 997.2 got sticky knobs so I bought these from Suncoast. They fir and work perfectly but make sure you have a 6T socket or screw driver to remove the old knobs and install the new ones. Unlike the 997.1 the knobs don't just pull off.

Just what you need to replace the stereo knobs if they are sticky like mine were. To remove the old/install the new you will need a torx t6 bit. To remove the old knob first pry off the inner black part of the dial. I just used a really small flat head screwdriver and stuck in between the chrome ring and the inner black part. You will break the old part but it is toast anyway. Use the t6 bit to unscrew the small screw holding the old knob in place and the rest is clear. The price is typical Porsche, but you should not be surprised by that.
