PCM is your central information and communication system. It is powerful and multifunctional, yet easy to operate.
The focal point is the intuitive 7-inch high-resolution interactive screen. Almost all functions can be controlled with just your fingertips, although conventional rotary pushbutton controls are still provided. Radio functions include up to 42 memory presets, dynamic autostore and the FM dual tuner with RDS diversity, which continuously scans in the background for the best signal.
The CD/DVD drive plays CDs and audio DVDs and is MP3-compatible. A six-disc CD/DVD changer integrated into PCM is available as an option.
A navigation module with high-speed hard drive is included with PCM. For route guidance, it is possible to select between a 2D display and a 3D perspective on the PCM monitor (maps will not display on the instrument cluster). In some regions, even land and buildings can be displayed in 3D. Split screen mode enables you to view two functions at once, such as the current navigation map and a list of symbols that represent the next navigation instruction.
PCM including navigation module with standard audio interface + DVD autochanger has the following
equipment and functions:
- Central multimedia system with 7-inch TFT color display (interactive screen)
- Radio with RDS diversity function
- Integrated 6-slot CD/DVD autochanger for audio playback of audio/video DVDs and MP3 music
- Navigation module with hard drive and map data for the respective countries, map display with
greater perspective, automatic route recording and subsequent backtrace navigation as well as
navigation in non-digitalized regions using a compass and GPS.
- USB connection for various iPod and iPhone models, USB memory sticks with MP3 music and
MP3 players. Functions can be operated via PCM, the optional multi-function steering wheel or
optional voice control.
- AUX interface for connecting other external audio sources, allowing operation directly on the
connected device.

Not compatible with the base model sound package. Only for cars with Sound Package Plus 490, BOSE 680, or Burmester systems 682. Not compatible with XM radio.
