Carpet Floormat Set - 987 Cayman SKU: MatSet2987c

I am replacing my OE floor mats, which surprisingly didn't even last 80k miles before having a huge hole worn in them. I'm hoping these fare better. They look great and match my interior perfectly (compensating for the dirt/wear of course). My only concern is that they came with some velcro pads and anchors, and no real info on what you're supposed to do (am I supposed to bore holes in the carpet? Is there a specific spot under there already? Will putting the anchors in cause a bump under the floor mat that I don't want?) - I feel an easier solution would have been to just use the rubberized underside with the grippy bumps like most other vehicles have. This prevents slippage AND is much better waterproofing to preserve your car's carpet.
