Now I can safely drink my favorite beverage (while not shifting gears). Especially since the manual says " do not use cupholders while driving" Something so simple makes a difference wether I take the Boxster or not. Worth the money. 2001 Boxster 5spd

Okay, not everyone rides beverage free. The 2001 Porsche 911 doesn't have cup holders. I needed something and this was the perfect answer. Just what I needed to hold my coffee. Thanks Sun Coast Parts!

Great simple design that works. No drilling, no cutting, no removal of anything inside. Holds reasonable drink bottles, cups, and the bottom even catches any drips or leaks. Easy to remove and clean. Excellent product.

Fits in the cubby perfectly , I even cut off my armrest nice stock look and still can be removed for disassembly, it fits one large Tim’s coffee and a medium perfectly or two large as long as one is double cupped !

I think it's great but I'll qualify that statement. The console is small so yes the cup holder is small too but it's much more secure than the factory cup holder. It's also a bit awkward to reach your cup there but, again, that's a result of the factory console and I prefer to have my (small) cup securely held with this accessory instead of the flimsy factory cup holder. I was pleasantly surprised that the console lid closes completely when you don't have a drink in it. I haven't had an issue with the lid closing on my drink yet but I don't doubt the other reviews that mention it occurs.

As it says in the description, the console lid will close on your drinks. This was overly annoying, as the lid then is in your way to reach your drinks. The holder also sits back fairly far, making it awkward to reach your drinks. Very awkward. I really hoped this was going to be "the great solution", but I'll keep looking.

Nice alternative to the factory cup holders, and a necessity if you have the flat screen info system in your car. The only problem I have is that the lid to the console does not stay open. I am working on a solution for this.

The original cupholder in our Boxster broke, and since the replacement part is $386, this is a cheap but functional alternative. I glued the old one shut.
