Product Details

When Porsche's 992 GT3 models hit the market, the verdict was that this car simply dominated the previous generations with performance, aerodynamic functionality, and new technology.

However, many people familiar with GT cars, especially those modified with parts like our popular Sports Exhaust on 991 and 997 GT3 models, found that the exhaust was a bit muted, and the electronic valve did not make as much of a difference to switch on or off as it did on previous models, making it even less useful.

The wailing howls of the previous generations seemed subdued, and in their place was a muddier sound, maybe not the familiar characterstic of the race bred GT3.

With this in mind, Sharkwerks focused our efforts on developing prototypes in order to extract some of the lost noises we were so fond of in the previous generations.

This design came about frоm numerous tests and challenges. We developed precision CNC-machined rings that perfectly fit the enormous 8" catalytic converter (or OPF in International markets) outlets, then meticulously welded these to high flow cones within the size constraints of the original exhaust. We chose dual mandrel bent 3" tubing with a large crossover tube, and additional extension tubes were added to tune the sound to what we believed was the best tone possible with no unpleasant drone or resonance on the inside. Our goal was for it to be fun on the outside, and yet classy on the inside; without giving you a headache. We made sure the exhaust still exits in the original location of the bumper, through integrated slashcut dual 100mm tips like our 991 GT3 upgrades.

The electronic valves are removed using Valve Delete Modules to prevent check engine lights or error codes, which we believed are the best available on the market.

The default finish is a flawless stainless steel, but you can request to have the exhaust tips and center component ceramic coated if you prefer a satin black finish (please note: this adds approximately 2-weeks to the build time).

Features

- Louder, exotic and aggressive tone without uncomfortable drone or resonance at highway speeds
- 100% Made in the USA, stainless steel construction
- Removes about 20 pounds frоm the rear of the car
- Optimized for maximum power output and weight savings while retaining reliability, without modifying ECU programming
- Does not affect emissions systems, catalytic converters, or cause Check Engine lights (50-state Emissions Legal)
- 100% reversible, OEM-like fitment, with no cutting or welding required
- No bumper removal required for installation

** NOTE: The original Porsche exhaust clamps that attach the muffler to the car to the catalytic converter can be added for an additional charge, or you can remove them frоm your original muffler by removing a small metal tab. It can still be re-used on the original or Shark Werks Exhaust later.
** NOTE 2: If you're outside the USA and North America, your car might have a Gas Particulate Filter.  Not sure?  Contact us with your VIN

The result frоm these changes is an aggressive startup bark, and an exciting tone under acceleration, but on a car that can still be driven on long trips while conversing with a passenger or talking on the phone when needed.

At idle, gentle throttle, or between 50 and 80 MPH in top-gear, the car is surprisingly docile, but downshifting and getting into the power still rewards you with a song worthy of the GT3 name.

Porsche Parts Warranty Information — Suncoast Porsche

Understanding your warranty coverage is important. Below is a complete overview of warranty terms for Genuine Porsche OEM parts, aftermarket parts, and closeout items purchased from Suncoast Porsche and SuncoastParts.com.

Warranty Coverage by Product Type

Genuine Porsche OEM Parts — 2-Year Warranty

All Genuine Porsche OEM parts purchased from Suncoast Porsche or SuncoastParts.com come with a 2-year, unlimited mileage, parts-only warranty beginning on the date of purchase.

If your parts are installed at an authorized Porsche Service Center, both parts and labor warranty coverage may apply if the part is deemed defective within the 2-year warranty period. Coverage varies by location — please check with your local Porsche dealer prior to installation to confirm their specific warranty participation, as each Porsche Center is independently owned and operated.

Important warranty notes for online purchases:

  • Labor, diagnostic, and installation fees are not covered when parts are purchased online from SuncoastParts.com or Suncoast Porsche, unless the parts are installed by an authorized Porsche Service Center
  • Warranty claims must be processed in person at an authorized Porsche Service Center
  • Warranty service is honored at any authorized Porsche dealer in the United States, however some dealers may decline warranty claims for parts purchased online or from another dealership — always verify with your local dealer before installation
  • If a warranty claim is approved and the part was not installed by a Porsche Service Center, installation of the replacement part remains the customer's responsibility
  • Suncoast Porsche and SuncoastParts.com are not liable for any diagnostic, labor, or installation fees charged by another Porsche Service Center

Aftermarket & Performance Parts

Warranty coverage for aftermarket and performance parts varies by manufacturer. Most carry a 1-year limited warranty. Contact us for specific warranty details on any aftermarket product. Please note that diagnostic time and labor costs for warranty replacements are not covered.

Take-Off & Closeout Parts

All take-off and closeout parts are sold as-is with no warranty and are not eligible for return. Pricing on these items reflects their as-is condition.

What This Warranty Does Not Cover

The following situations and conditions are explicitly excluded from warranty coverage:

  • Improper Installation or Misuse — Damage resulting from incorrect installation, negligence, unauthorized alteration, or accident. This includes any use in racing, competition, or motorsport applications
  • Lack of Proper Maintenance — Damage caused by failure to follow the vehicle's recommended Maintenance Schedule, or failure to use the correct fluids, fuel, oil, or lubricants as specified in the Owner's Manual. Proof of proper maintenance is the owner's responsibility — retain all service receipts in case questions arise
  • Consequential or Economic Losses — Towing fees, rental vehicles, loss of use, loss of time, inconvenience, or any other indirect economic losses
  • Vehicles Outside the USA & Canada — Parts installed on vehicles registered or primarily operated outside of the United States or Canada are not covered under this warranty

How to Obtain Warranty Service

Installed by an Authorized Porsche Dealer

If your parts were originally installed by an authorized Porsche dealer, warranty repairs may be performed by that same dealer or any other authorized Porsche Service Center in the United States. Please allow a reasonable timeframe for repairs after delivering your vehicle to the dealership.

Installed by an Independent Repair Shop

Please be aware: All warranty claims must be inspected, performed, and documented by factory-trained Porsche technicians at an authorized Porsche dealership. Work performed at an independent repair shop does not qualify for warranty consideration. If warranty coverage is a priority, we strongly recommend having your parts installed at an authorized Porsche Service Center.

Documentation Requirements for Warranty Claims

To process a warranty claim, the servicing Porsche dealer will require:

  • Your original sales receipt or order confirmation from SuncoastParts.com or Suncoast Porsche
  • A completed warranty certificate
  • Proof of proper vehicle maintenance history (if applicable)

Suncoast Porsche retains sales records on file for two years. If you need a copy of your receipt, contact us and we will provide it promptly.

Additional Warranty Terms & Legal Disclaimers

This warranty provides you with specific legal rights. You may also have additional rights that vary by state.

Porsche does not authorize any individual or organization to create additional obligations or liabilities beyond those stated in this warranty. Any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is limited in duration to the term of this written warranty. The exclusive remedy under this warranty is the repair or replacement of the defective part.

Suncoast Porsche and SuncoastParts.com shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages arising from a breach of this written warranty or any implied warranty.

Some states do not permit limitations on implied warranty duration or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages — the above limitations may not apply in your state. Additionally, installation of certain parts or accessories may affect your Porsche New Vehicle Warranty. Please consult your authorized Porsche dealer for full terms, or contact us with any questions.
