Roof Rack - Taycan Cross Turismo SKU: SKU9J1CTRACK

This review is only regarding the product- not related to Suncoast's service. These bars appear to be made by Thule for Porsche but have the lowest and cheapest quality I have every gotten for an OEM cross bar. The cover pieces for the base are flimsy plastic that barely fit in place and are held on the by a weak plastic clip with barely any retention so 2 of mine keep falling off and I have to clip them back on. They come with a keyed lock for the cover but it would probably only take several seconds to tear it off with a screwdriver. Worse yet, on the rear bar- the design of the retention clip apparently is not alighted properly with the rail and causes damage to the roof rails (on both sides) when you tighten them down. I have gouges and a dent in my roof rails now from one trial fit of the bars. It's a hard metal edge with a thin protective film that digs into the aluminum rails. It's a terrible product and Porsche should be embarrassed to have their logo on these. The OEM bars for my VW are much better and have none of these issues. Suncoast suggested I take these in to my dealer to see if they can warranty it somehow, which I am planning to do.
