Ignition Switch

Audi switch, same one used by Porsche. A commonly replaced item for older vehicles. If you're key is hard to remove or insert, this may be the culprit. A defective unit may also cause other electrical quarks, consult a technician for diagnosis.

NOTE: This is the latest version of this part. Professional installation is HIGHLY recommended, this item is not returnable.

Fitment:

Boxster (all versions) - 1997-2002

Carrera (all versions) - 1999-2002

NOTE: This switch is only for original (factory installed) ignition lock housing. If your ignition lock housing has ever been replaced or updated, this piece will not be compatible. Newer versions have different switches, and we don't have access to those switches. So in this situation, you will have to purchase a complete replacement ignition lock.

Solved electrical gremlins

This switch solved so many electrical problems. No more A/C fan going on and off, windshield wipers starting and stopping and now my headlights stay on. After I squeeze myself ended the dashboard , it was quite easy. Highly recommended.
