Sport Design Steering Wheel (991/981) SKU: 991SD

A great-looking steering wheel that feels great in your hands. The leather is one smooth seamless piece where your hands grip it, the Agate grey leather matches my interior perfectly and the satin-metal trim complements the shift knob and vent trim. Changing out the base steering wheel (no multi-function) on my 6-speed Boxster for this one and using the existing airbag was simple, just make sure to get the proper M12 triple-point bit for the bolt that holds it. The only negative I can come up with is the satin-metal trim sometimes glints if the sun hits it right, but it's not a big deal for me. It's also a bit spendy, but it makes me smile every time I get in the car. And thanks to Suncoast for helping me to verify the correct version.

This a nice upgrade for my "14 Cayman S. Pretty expensive, but looks much better than the plactic looking one that came on my car. The ultimate would be a GT wheel, but this is a nice compromise.

I liked the sport wheel with paddle shifters ,much better than the old style thumb shifters. Agate Gray was a perfect color match, super easy installation with no issues. Total time 20 minutes. Well worth the money., plus I love the awesome Porsche calendar . Thank you.

I’ve had two previous Porsche (981’s) with this particular wheel. When I knew I was serious about pursuing my 991 S Cab purchase, I was looking for a particular set of options AND that it had the Sport Design Steering Wheel. Well, as many of you know, finding JUST the right combo gets harder and harder as the supply of QUALITY cars diminishes. I found a beautifully-equipped 991, but it had the blasted button/multifunction wheel. This wheel offered at Suncoast is DEFINITELY Porsche OEM. It feels exactly like my factory-delivered 981s which had the same steering wheel design. The Carrera Red leather matches my 2013 full leather interior color and it all looks original spec —as I would have ordered the car 👍🏻 Fantastic and sexy steering wheel... very sporty looking/feeling!

This steering wheel has a top quality feel to it. The high quality shift paddles have a smoother feel, when shifting, than the old cheap feeling buttons ever did. The only problem I have run into is the dealer nearest to me (Hennessy Porsche, Roswell GA) doesn't understand what to do to get the PCM stalk to work on the new 4 stalk column switch. I may have to drive 500+ miles to have Suncoast Porsche make the change.

Best thing i ever did was swap the button paddle multifunction to the wheel Std paddles with the multifunction stock. Sweet.

991 w/ PDK and Sport Chrono - should have been ordered this way from factory - perfect.

Purchased to replace the standard wheel with the symmetric push-pull PDK controls. Really disliked the 'push' with my thumbs for shifting. Easy install as my Boxster already had the stalk. Wheel feels very nice and the PDK paddles are a must upgrade in my opinion.
