Both have inspired engineers to ever-greater achievements. Because both rely on precision, function and performance – with every second. The intersection of these two worlds is Porsche Design, the only brand in the world whose name stands for motorsports and timepieces in equal measure.

Power engine with flyback function. It is not just by chance that Porsche Design has first developed a chronograph with flyback function. After all, recording lap times is fundamental to motorsport. A conventional chronograph function records successive events through three consecutive actions on the pusher: stop, reset and restart the timepiece. The chronograph with flyback function automates these three processes in rapid succession. In stopwatch mode, the timing of consecutive events is even more efficient. Ideal for the racetrack: yellow markings provide a clear visual separation of the stop function and current time display. Thanks to the thermal treatment of the mainspring and a special winding, the movement also has additional energy. This is used to optimize the regulating stability under increased load conditions over an extended period. Increased load occurs when recording times on the racetrack, for instance.

COSC certificate for accuracy. It goes without saying that precision is paramount for a Porsche Design movement. The Werk 01.200 is therefore strictly controlled. Every movement is thoroughly tested in five positions and at three temperatures over several successive days by Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres [ COSC ] – a nonpartial Swiss authority. If the movement passes the accuracy tests, only then does it receive a unique certification number assigned by COSC, in addition to its number. Every Werk 01.200 can then be identified by its unique COSC certificate.

Maximum performance. In the internal values, too. Just as a wheel transfers power from the engine to the road, the winding rotor on a timepiece plays a central role in generating power. So it’s only logical that the rotor of the Porsche Design Chronograph 911 GT2 RS is an exact replica of the 911 GT2 RS alloy wheel. But a skeletonized winding rotor poses a particular challenge for engineers, given that the reduced area and less material does not provide enough weight for the necessary rotations. The clever solution: tungsten. Porsche Design engineers have succeeded in creating a powerful rotor for the Werk 01.200 from tungsten, a material that is extremely difficult to work with. And just like its automotive role model, the rotor attaches to the movement by means of the typical Porsche central locking, featuring the ‘RS’ inscription. The barrel bridge of the Werk 01.200 is load path-optimized according to the Porsche lightweight construction principle. The geometric shapes have been configured to reveal the flyback function.

Design Language. You can see that the Porsche Design Chrono graph 911 GT2 RS is capable of delivering maximum performance at first glance. Porsche Design engineers have applied the materials and characteristic design elements of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS to the watch concept. The sports car comes in GT Silver Metallic with additional components in black. The black titanium carbide coating on the chronograph’s bezel and case back lend the timepiece the same two-tone effect. Of course, the case is made of titanium – just like the roll cage in the Weissach package. And symbolizing maximum performance of both car and timepiece, the individual chassis number is engraved on the case back.

The straps in the colors of the vehicle interior are made from the same materials, which can also be found in the cockpit of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS. High-quality leather provides that refined feel. Alcantara® offers you a reliable grip, even under extreme lateral acceleration. The folding clasp is made of titanium – lightweight construction all the way up to the secure attachment at the wrist. The Porsche Design Chronograph 911 GT2 RS comes equipped with two leather straps with black or red Alcantara® (each in sizes M and L). Thanks to the quick-change system, you can decide every day which of the leather straps you want to make a statement with.

Warranty Coverage by Product Type

Genuine Porsche OEM Parts — 2-Year Warranty

All Genuine Porsche OEM parts purchased from Suncoast Porsche or SuncoastParts.com come with a 2-year, unlimited mileage, parts-only warranty beginning on the date of purchase.

If your parts are installed at an authorized Porsche Service Center, both parts and labor warranty coverage may apply if the part is deemed defective within the 2-year warranty period. Coverage varies by location — please check with your local Porsche dealer prior to installation to confirm their specific warranty participation, as each Porsche Center is independently owned and operated.

Important warranty notes for online purchases:

Labor, diagnostic, and installation fees are not covered when parts are purchased online from SuncoastParts.com or Suncoast Porsche, unless the parts are installed by an authorized Porsche Service Center
Warranty claims must be processed in person at an authorized Porsche Service Center
Warranty service is honored at any authorized Porsche dealer in the United States, however some dealers may decline warranty claims for parts purchased online or from another dealership — always verify with your local dealer before installation
If a warranty claim is approved and the part was not installed by a Porsche Service Center, installation of the replacement part remains the customer's responsibility

What This Warranty Does Not Cover

The following situations and conditions are explicitly excluded from warranty coverage:

Improper Installation or Misuse — Damage resulting from incorrect installation, negligence, unauthorized alteration, or accident. This includes any use in racing, competition, or motorsport applications
Lack of Proper Maintenance — Damage caused by failure to follow the vehicle's recommended Maintenance Schedule, or failure to use the correct fluids, fuel, oil, or lubricants as specified in the Owner's Manual. Proof of proper maintenance is the owner's responsibility — retain all service receipts in case questions arise
Consequential or Economic Losses — Towing fees, rental vehicles, loss of use, loss of time, inconvenience, or any other indirect economic losses
Vehicles Outside the USA & Canada — Parts installed on vehicles registered or primarily operated outside of the United States or Canada are not covered under this warranty

How to Obtain Warranty Service

Installed by an Authorized Porsche Dealer

If your parts were originally installed by an authorized Porsche dealer, warranty repairs may be performed by that same dealer or any other authorized Porsche Service Center in the United States. Please allow a reasonable timeframe for repairs after delivering your vehicle to the dealership.

Installed by an Independent Repair Shop

Please be aware: All warranty claims must be inspected, performed, and documented by factory-trained Porsche technicians at an authorized Porsche dealership. Work performed at an independent repair shop does not qualify for warranty consideration. If warranty coverage is a priority, we strongly recommend having your parts installed at an authorized Porsche Service Center.
