LED Light Kit - Boxster (2005-12) SKU: PKLEDBOXSTER

For $129.95, I expect these to be well made. Unfortunately three lights (TAPA 6LO 947 565), the bulbs fell out on shipping. After a while of wrangling, I got two to stay, and the third will not fit. The two do not fit snugly, and I suspect that vibrations will eventually cause the bulbs to fall out.

Suncoast was prompt in replacing the dome light bulb, which was the only one that didn't work for me. Check the bulbs that are in an assembly for glove box and for footwells, because one of them had a loose bulb and I had to open the metal box assembly to reseat it. Before you do that, watch a few videos on changing bulbs in the 987 to see how the tabs work, since you have to bend the metal slightly to disassemble. And then bend them back to shape. Easy but so much easier after watching a video. On another note - I'd read on forums some concern that the frunk light might stay on and drain the battery. I decided to check this for myself by installing that LED and then closing the trunk and locking the car, but with my phone recording video inside the trunk. As soon as I'd closed it the video showed the light going off, so I'm not concerned about any drain. In general, these illuminate much better than my old incandescent bulbs. Better lighting, more efficient, less heat - highly recommended easy upgrade to my 2006 Boxster!

The interior lights were installed and it looks much brighter than the older bulbs from my 2005 Porsche Boxster 987. The white light makes the interior feel modern when I open up the car. I think it's a great update.

Great plug and play. If you follow the instructions it took me about an hour to change all 9 lights and I only damaged 1 from the glove box. The trunk lights took a time or two to work but since have been fine.

This kit was easy to install and looks amazing on my 2009 Boxster! Super bright and white light. Honestly I could not be happier with this product looks so good almost felt as good as the day I pick up my Porsche! Not really, but close :) highly recommend!
