Old gummy knobs
(Commiefornia) | November 11th, 2021
I was unaware that these knobs were available. They were easy to install, even though they felt like used chewing gum and stuck to my fingers after I removed them. All is good now, thanks!
Super easy fix

I had previously cleaned up the radio knobs with goo gone since I didn't realize you could just buy replacements! What a quick and easy fix. My 996TT just went up $5k in value ;)

When my two radio knobs became tacky and sticky, I tried using a couple alcohol prep pads to clean them up. That solution was only temporary. These new knobs look and feel great. The installation is as easy as the other reviewers have said - simply pull the old ones off, and press the new ones on. It took me less than a minute to install both. An easy and inexpensive way to clean up the look (and feel) of your CDR!

So happy to get rid of the sticky old knobs. Quickest "repair" I have ever done in my 57 years of working on cars. 15 seconds...tops! Great service from Suncoast as well. As always.
quick, easy fix!

I just bought this car from a meticulous owner who had been unable to drive it for a couple years. After we came to agreement on my purchase, he called to say "weirdest thing...the radio buttons are really sticky." I knew it was a common problem and asked my mechanic for a source for replacements. He referred me here, and the buttons came quickly and (as others have said) were a super easy swap. Just pull the old ones off, go wash your hands to get the black goo off from the old ones, and then slide the new ones in place! Excellent product!

the original knobs were all gooey and sticky (black goop on fingers every time you touched them). put on new ones- what a difference. pulled off old ones, pushed on new ones- done!
