My 1999 Boxster did not offer a rain sensor option and in Seattle with the constant mist or rain, I tired of manually wiping windshield. I purchased this sensor and it works as advertised. I like that you can leave it in intermittent mode at all times and you can easily verify it’s operational by the light on the sensor by the rearview mirror. Even though it lacks a sensitivity adjustment, the preset seems to be just about right. Speed sensitivity is not required since the infrared sensor adjusts quickly to the water obscuration on the windshield. If you leave where it rains a lot, buy this sensor and you won’t be disappointed.
