I had a coolant overflow leak when my car was hot. I tried other brands which didn't fix the problem. This part did fix the overflow when hot.

I noticed I was using a little coolant. After my second time topping off with a little distilled water I figured something was a "mist". After some internet sleuthing I noticed I had some dry white residue around the bottom of the cap and on the reservoir. This is a sign your cap is going bad. This cap is the revised version of the cap and so far it is working great. Be sure to clean your reservoir before putting the new one on to ensure a good seal. No more smell, white residue or coolant usage. I wish all fixes were this easy.

This corrected the misting problem with the stock OEM cap.
