It is possible to purchase just a plastic cover

Like most of you reading this, I only needed the cover. I impulsively purchased from suncoast the item they offer. I installed in the cold and instantly broke one side of the clip. It fell off soon after. I purchased a new plastic cover from the online auction site. While it might be an inferior plastic piece (TBD) it was 20% the cost of this item.

Cap was fine, included switch/release mechanism for rear glass, no problem, just kept extra parts for when that goes bad
