Morimoto built the XB LED tail lights specifically for the 997.1 — a modern lighting upgrade that respects what the car is, while giving the rear end the presence it has always deserved.

Modern Design, Right at Home on the 997 Inspired by the LED tail light design language found across the current Porsche lineup, the Morimoto XB tail lights modernize the rear end of the 997.1 without compromising the car's classic lines. The red-lens version integrates so naturally it could pass for a factory fitment — while the fully smoked version delivers a more aggressive, contemporary look reminiscent of the clear tails found on the latest 992 generation. Two distinct looks, one flawless execution.

Plug-and-Play Installation No cutting. No splicing. No modifications. The XB tail lights plug directly into the factory connectors on all US-spec 997.1 cars and function without error codes or hyperflashing. Integrated resistors are required and included — they mount magnetically directly behind the tail light housings for a clean, tool-free install.

Direct Bolt-On Fitment A true bolt-on replacement using all factory mounting points. Compatible with the full 997.1 lineup — Carrera, Carrera S, Cabriolet, Targa, and Turbo. Pop the rear decklid and you're done in minutes.

Full LED Functionality, DOT Compliant The optical light pipe running along the top edge of each housing serves as a low-intensity parking light. Purchased the smoked for my black 997. Arrived in form fitted box in excellent condition. The install was exactly as described in the video - allow for extra time to clean the metal behind the lights. I spent more time trying to disconnect the wiring plug - ( insert a small screwdriver blade and done). They work with 0 error codes or issues as described. In my opinion I believe the turn signal and stop are brighter than original. The lenses are dimensional - they have the same chiseled look as the new OEM tail lights, not a smooth exterior like the current 997 taillights. So far I like them - definitely does something to the looks of the rear of the car. Thanks Suncoast for carrying this product.

Genuine Porsche OEM Parts — 2-Year Warranty

All Genuine Porsche OEM parts purchased from Suncoast Porsche or SuncoastParts.com come with a 2-year, unlimited mileage, parts-only warranty beginning on the date of purchase.

If your parts are installed at an authorized Porsche Service Center, both parts and labor warranty coverage may apply if the part is deemed defective within the 2-year warranty period. Coverage varies by location — please check with your local Porsche dealer prior to installation to confirm their specific warranty participation, as each Porsche Center is independently owned and operated.

Important warranty notes for online purchases:

Labor, diagnostic, and installation fees are not covered when parts are purchased online from SuncoastParts.com or Suncoast Porsche, unless the parts are installed by an authorized Porsche Service Center
Warranty claims must be processed in person at an authorized Porsche Service Center
Warranty service is honored at any authorized Porsche dealer in the United States, however some dealers may decline warranty claims for parts purchased online or from another dealership — always verify with your local dealer before installation

How to Obtain Warranty Service

If your parts were originally installed by an authorized Porsche dealer, warranty repairs may be performed by that same dealer or any other authorized Porsche Service Center in the United States. Please allow a reasonable timeframe for repairs after delivering your vehicle to the dealership.

Installed by an Independent Repair Shop

Please be aware: All warranty claims must be inspected, performed, and documented by factory-trained Porsche technicians at an authorized Porsche dealership. Work performed at an independent repair shop does not qualify for warranty consideration. If warranty coverage is a priority, we strongly recommend having your parts installed at an authorized Porsche Service Center.
