The Turbo GT is the car that redefined what people thought a production Porsche EV could do, arriving as the new top of the Taycan range and, at launch, the most powerful series-production Porsche ever built. It borrows its development lineage from the 918 Spyder, GT2 RS, and GT3 RS, cars that got a Weissach Package treatment focused purely on lightness and track capability, and the Turbo GT is the first Taycan invited into that company.
A new 900-amp pulse inverter on the rear motor, versus the 600-amp unit in the Turbo S, pushes output to 777 hp continuous, 1,019 hp with Launch Control engaged, and 1,092 hp for a two-second burst when the steering-wheel-mounted Attack Mode is triggered, a feature borrowed directly from Porsche's Formula E program. Torque peaks at 988 lb-ft. Porsche quotes 0 to 60 mph in 2.1 seconds, and Porsche test driver Lars Kern lapped the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 7:07.55, a benchmark Porsche has actively compared against the Rimac Nevera. The Weissach Package adds a fixed carbon-fiber rear wing, a deeper front splitter, carbon side elements, and lighter 21-inch forged wheels, while removing the rear seats, one of the two charge ports, and the rear speakers to shed roughly 157 to 288 lbs depending on configuration. Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes and Pirelli P Zero R tires are standard on both versions, and Weissach cars post marginally quicker times above 60 mph despite an identical 0 to 60 figure.
