The Turbo launched alongside the Turbo S and 4S for 2020, and despite the name having nothing to do with forced induction, it set the tone for how Porsche would use its traditional flagship-performance badge across the EV lineup. It was, at launch, one of the fastest four-doors in the world, regardless of powertrain.
Output sits at 616 hp continuous, rising to 670 hp on overboost with Launch Control, backed by 626 lb-ft of torque. Porsche quotes 0 to 60 mph in 3.0 seconds. The Turbo comes standard with the larger 93.4 kWh Performance Battery Plus pack rather than offering it as an upgrade, the same battery shared with the Turbo S, and pairs it with standard Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, adaptive air suspension, and larger brakes than the 4S trims. Unlike the GTS, which launched two years later and skipped the Cross Turismo body entirely, the Turbo was offered across all three Taycan body styles from the very first model year, sedan, Sport Turismo, and Cross Turismo alike, all sharing identical powertrain specs.
