The GTS badge arrived on the Taycan for 2022, the final Porsche model line to receive the heritage nameplate at the time, and it slotted in exactly where enthusiasts expected: closer to the Turbo in outright performance than the 4S, but tuned with its own chassis character rather than just a power bump. It's also the trim that introduced the Taycan's Electric Sport Sound tuning, a synthesized tone drawn from the actual rear motor noise rather than an artificial soundtrack, giving the GTS a distinct audible signature.
Output lands at 509 hp continuous, rising to 590 hp on overboost with Launch Control, and 626 lb-ft of torque, the same torque figure as the Turbo despite the GTS sitting below it on power. Porsche quotes 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. The GTS shares its suspension hardware with the Turbo, including standard Adaptive Air Suspension with Smart Lift, Porsche Active Suspension Management, and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, but every system carries GTS-specific tuning rather than a straight carryover. Sport Chrono with Launch Control is standard, and options unique to the trim include Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control Sport and 21-inch RS Spyder Design wheels with a satin black finish. Sport Turismo versions carry the same powertrain and performance figures as the sedan.
