The 4S sits at the sweet spot of the Cross Turismo range, the point where the added performance stops being incremental and starts feeling like a genuinely different car from the base 4. It also introduced most Cross Turismo buyers to the Performance Battery Plus option, the larger 93.4 kWh pack (versus 79.2 kWh standard) that became the more popular configuration on this trim specifically because of the range and power both improved together.

With the standard battery, the 4S makes 429 hp continuous and 522 hp on overboost with Launch Control. Stepping up to Performance Battery Plus raises that to 483 hp continuous and 562 hp on overboost, along with a jump to 479 lb-ft of torque, and drops the 0 to 60 mph time to around 3.8 seconds versus roughly 4.0 for the standard battery car. Both setups share the same 800-volt architecture and the 2-speed rear transaxle, but the larger battery's improved cell chemistry meant the 4S Cross Turismo didn't have to trade range for the extra power the way earlier EV performance tiers often did. Porsche also fits torque vectoring across the rear axle as standard on the 4S, sharpening turn-in in a way the base 4 doesn't get.
