The mid-cycle 95B.2 facelift, arriving mid-2019, brought a broader refresh to the entire Macan lineup, and the base four-cylinder car received both cosmetic and mechanical updates alongside its V6 siblings. A new full-width LED rear light bar, updated bumpers, and a completely overhauled 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay modernized the cabin considerably from the outgoing pre-facelift car.
The base Macan continues with a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four, tuned to 248 hp and 273 lb-ft for the initial run of facelifted cars. A 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission remains standard, paired with all-wheel drive, no manual was ever offered on any Macan. Porsche quotes 0 to 60 mph in the low 6-second range and a top speed in the upper 130s mph. For the 2022 model year, as part of a further running update across the lineup, output climbed to 261 hp, the final and most powerful tune the base four-cylinder engine would receive before the Macan's transition to electric power.
Standard dual exhaust tips continue to distinguish the base car visually from the quad-pipe S, GTS, and Turbo variants, while the updated interior brought a modernized dashboard layout and improved material quality across the board versus the pre-facelift car. As the entry point into Porsche ownership throughout this generation, the base Macan retained its reputation as the lightest and most agile car in the lineup, offering genuine Porsche driving dynamics at the most accessible price point in the brand's entire range.
