The base Macan Electric and Macan 4 represent the entry points into Porsche's first fully electric compact SUV lineup, built on Volkswagen Group's Premium Platform Electric alongside the Audi Q6 e-tron. Both share the same 800-volt architecture and battery pack as their more powerful GTS and Turbo siblings, giving even the entry-level electric Macan genuine Taycan-derived charging speed and performance credentials.
The base Macan Electric uses a single rear-mounted motor, making 335 hp standard, with Launch Control unlocking a brief overboost phase to 355 hp and 415 lb-ft. It's rear-wheel drive only, the sole Macan Electric variant without all-wheel drive. Porsche quotes 0 to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds and a 137 mph top speed, with an EPA-rated range of 315 miles, the longest in the entire Macan Electric lineup thanks to the single-motor setup's efficiency advantage. The Macan 4 steps up to a dual-motor all-wheel-drive layout, making 382 hp standard and 402 hp with overboost, along with 479 lb-ft of torque. Porsche quotes 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds and a 137 mph top speed, with an EPA-rated range of 308 miles.
Both cars share a 100 kWh battery pack (95 kWh usable) and the same 800-volt charging architecture found across the lineup, allowing DC fast charging up to 270 kW and a 10 to 80 percent charge in around 21 minutes under optimal conditions. Adaptive air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management comes standard on both, giving buyers genuine Porsche chassis tuning even at the accessible end of the electric Macan range.
