The Cayenne Turbo Electric arrives as the range-topping model in Porsche's new fourth-generation electric Cayenne lineup, sitting above the base Cayenne Electric and Cayenne S Electric. As Porsche's most powerful production car to date, it edges out even the Taycan Turbo GT for outright output, and it's sold alongside the continuing third-generation gas and plug-in hybrid Cayenne models rather than replacing them. Available in both standard SUV and Coupe body styles.
The dual-motor, all-wheel-drive powertrain produces 844 hp in normal driving, with a Push-to-Pass button on the steering wheel adding a further 173 hp for 10-second bursts. With Launch Control engaged, total output climbs to 1,139 hp and 1,106 lb-ft of torque, the most power of any road-going Porsche ever built. That's enough to reach 60 mph in 2.4 seconds and cover the quarter mile in 9.9 seconds, quicker than the previous quickest Cayenne, the gas-powered Turbo GT, could manage. Top speed is rated at 162 mph.
The rear-axle motor uses direct oil cooling for the stator, a technology adapted from Porsche's Formula E program, helping sustain repeated hard launches without losing performance. The Turbo Electric shares the same 108 kWh usable battery pack as the rest of the electric Cayenne lineup, supporting 800-volt DC fast charging at up to 400 kW for a 10 to 80 percent charge in roughly 16 minutes. Active aerodynamic elements, including active cooling flaps and rear aeroblades that deploy above 34 mph, help the Turbo Electric achieve a 0.25 drag coefficient. Standard equipment includes Active Ride suspension, rear-axle steering, and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus.
