The Cayenne S E-Hybrid joins the lineup for the 2024 model year as part of the facelifted 9Y3 generation, positioned as the third electrified variant in the Cayenne range, slotting between the base Cayenne E-Hybrid and the range-topping Turbo E-Hybrid. Available in both standard SUV and Coupe body styles, the S E-Hybrid targets buyers who want a genuine step up in performance without giving up meaningful electric range.

Power comes from a reworked 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 producing 348 hp on its own, paired with a 174 hp electric motor for a combined system output of 512 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque. Mated to the standard 8-speed Tiptronic S automatic and all-wheel drive, the S E-Hybrid reaches 60 mph in 4.4 seconds, a tenth of a second quicker than its non-hybrid twin-turbo V8 Cayenne S counterpart through the quarter mile, and tops out at 163 mph.

The S E-Hybrid carries the same 25.9 kWh battery pack (21.8 kWh usable) introduced across the 2024 refreshed PHEV lineup, up substantially from the previous generation's 17.9 kWh unit, delivering an EPA-estimated 27 miles of all-electric range. It also comes standard with adaptive air suspension using two-chamber, two-valve technology for a wider spread between comfort and performance.
