The Cayenne Turbo Coupe launched for the 2020 model year alongside the standard Cayenne Coupe, bringing Porsche's most powerful non-hybrid V8 to the sloping-roofline body style. For 2022, Porsche added a range-topping Turbo GT Coupe above it, a purely gas-powered, track-tuned variant built exclusively in this body style, with no hybrid assistance and no traditional SUV-roofline option.
Both share the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 architecture, but the Turbo GT is a meaningfully different tune. The standard Turbo Coupe makes 541 hp and 567 lb-ft, reaching 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and topping out at 177 mph. The Turbo GT receives a stronger rotating assembly, larger turbochargers, and a Turbo GT-exclusive titanium exhaust, pushing output to 631 hp and 626 lb-ft, a 3.1-second 0-60 run, and a 186 mph top speed. The Turbo GT also picks up standard carbon ceramic brakes, a stiffer air suspension, a lower ride height, and wider front-track hardware, all part of the chassis work behind its Nürburgring Nordschleife lap record for a production SUV at the time.
