The Cayenne GTS returned for the 2025 model year as part of the facelifted 9YB generation, coming back after skipping the 2024 model year when Porsche introduced the broader Cayenne refresh. Available in both standard SUV and Coupe body styles, the GTS reclaims its position as Porsche's driver-focused sweet spot, sitting between the Cayenne S and the range-topping Turbo E-Hybrid and Turbo GT models.
Power comes from a revised 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 493 hp and 487 lb-ft of torque, a 40 hp and 30 lb-ft increase over the previous-generation GTS. Porsche achieved the gains through a switch to a single-scroll turbocharger setup, a high-pressure fuel injection system, and two-stage variable valve lift. Paired with the standard 8-speed Tiptronic S automatic and all-wheel drive, the GTS reaches 60 mph in 4.2 seconds and tops out at 171 mph.
The GTS also picks up standard adaptive air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, along with front axle pivot bearings borrowed from the Turbo GT that add negative camber for sharper turn-in. Ride height sits 10 mm lower than standard Cayenne models, and the all-wheel-drive system gains a separate water-cooling circuit adapted from the Turbo GT to better handle sustained hard driving.
