The GTS returned to the third-generation Panamera lineup for the 2025 model year, arriving roughly a year after the base 976 launched. True to form, Porsche kept the GTS as a non-hybrid, gas-only variant, continuing the same philosophy that defined the badge in the previous generation. The 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, shared architecturally with the Turbo S E-Hybrid's combustion engine, produces 493 hp and 486 lb-ft of torque on its own, a 20 hp gain over the outgoing 971.2 GTS.

Standard Porsche Traction Management all-wheel drive and the PDK dual-clutch transmission send that power down, with the GTS reaching 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 188 mph, quicker to 60 than the previous-generation GTS despite a curb weight around 4,700 lbs. Standard adaptive air suspension and available rear-axle steering carry over from the rest of the 976 lineup, though the GTS notably does not get the Active Ride suspension system Porsche reserved for the E-Hybrid variants, keeping its chassis tune more traditionally sport-focused.

Visually, the GTS distinguishes itself with the SportDesign exterior package, 21-inch center-lock wheels, and an adaptive rear spoiler. Inside, the GT Sport steering wheel and GTS-specific trim reinforce its position as the enthusiast's pick within the 976 lineup, a car built for drivers who want the sharpest, most engaging non-hybrid Panamera available.
