The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid sits as the entry point into Porsche's plug-in hybrid Panamera lineup, pairing everyday efficiency with the performance and comfort the Panamera is known for. For the 2021 facelift, the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 works alongside an electric motor integrated into the eight-speed PDK transmission for a combined 456 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, enough for a 0-60 mph run in the low-4-second range.
The facelift's biggest change for the E-Hybrid models was battery capacity. Porsche grew the lithium-ion battery from 14.1 kWh to 17.9 kWh, a jump of roughly 27 percent, extending EV-only range to as much as 35 miles on the WLTP cycle. That's enough for many owners to handle daily commuting on electric power alone, with the V6 stepping in for longer drives or when more performance is needed. Porsche Traction Management all-wheel drive comes standard, along with the eight-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission shared across the plug-in hybrid range.
Like other E-Hybrid Panamera models, the 4 E-Hybrid carries distinct visual cues, including acid-green brake calipers and "E-Hybrid" badging on the fenders and trunk lid, signaling the plug-in powertrain underneath. Inside, the E-Hybrid-specific instrument cluster shows charge status and energy flow, and the car retains full access to Porsche's suite of driver assistance and infotainment features, including the PCM system with wireless Apple CarPlay.
