The base Panamera and Panamera 4 entered the facelifted 970.2 generation for the 2014 model year with a mild power bump, the naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6 rising to 310 hp, up from 300 hp previously, while torque held steady at 295 lb-ft. As part of the facelift, the previously optional 6-speed manual transmission was dropped, leaving the 7-speed PDK dual-clutch as the sole transmission choice across the entire Panamera lineup.
The rear-wheel-drive Panamera reached 60 mph in roughly 6.0 seconds (5.7 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package) and topped out at 161 mph, while the all-wheel-drive Panamera 4 was a touch quicker off the line at around 5.8 seconds (5.5 seconds with Sport Chrono) despite a slightly lower top speed of 160 mph due to the added driveline weight.
As with the rest of the facelifted lineup, the base models gained standard bi-xenon headlights, an available full-LED lighting package, revised front and rear styling, and the updated Porsche Communication Management infotainment system with Apple CarPlay support, bringing the entry point into the Panamera range up to date with the more expensive trims above it.
