The Carrera T returned to the US lineup for the 2023 model year, slotting between the base Carrera and the Carrera S as a lighter, more driver-focused version of the standard car. It shares the base Carrera's 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six, rated at 379 hp and 331 lb-ft of torque, but the T isn't about extra power. It's about trimming weight and sharpening the driving experience around the same engine.
Porsche deleted the rear seats, fitted lightweight glass, and reduced sound insulation to save weight and let more of the engine's sound reach the cabin. The Carrera T also comes standard with a mechanical differential lock, PASM Sport suspension, Sport Chrono Package, a sport exhaust, and a shorter-throw shifter, all items that are optional or unavailable on the standard Carrera. Ride height sits 10mm lower than the base car. A seven-speed manual is standard, with PDK available as an option, a rare case of a manual-first trim in the current lineup.
