The second-generation GTS carries over the badge but backs it with a genuinely reworked powertrain. Porsche fitted a new rear-axle motor across the 2025 lineup that adds up to 107 hp over the outgoing unit, and the GTS is where that upgrade shows up most dramatically, jumping from 590 hp peak in the first generation to 690 hp with Launch Control engaged in the new car.

Base output sits around 597 hp, with an available 93 hp of Launch Control boost for up to 10 seconds pushing the total system peak to 690 hp, paired with 582 lb-ft of torque. Porsche quotes 0 to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds, a 0.4 second improvement over the outgoing GTS. The bigger story for owners may be regenerative braking, now capable of pulling in up to 400 kW, more than the Taycan's peak 320 kW DC fast-charge rate, meaning the car can theoretically recover energy faster than even a high-speed charger can deliver it. The new 97 kWh usable battery pack also brings a meaningful range improvement, with Porsche claiming a 23 percent gain on the European WLTP cycle over the previous generation. Sport Turismo versions share the same powertrain, battery, and performance figures as the sedan.
