The Turbo S E-Hybrid has always represented the top of the Panamera range, and the 2021 facelift pushed that further than ever. Porsche paired the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with an upgraded electric motor to produce a combined 690 horsepower and 642 lb-ft of torque, making it not just the quickest Panamera Porsche had ever built, but at the time, one of the most powerful sedans on the market from any manufacturer. It backed that output with genuine everyday usability, a rare combination for a car capable of a 196 mph top speed.
The hybrid system saw real gains for this generation, not just a power bump. Battery capacity grew 27 percent, from 14.1 kWh to 17.9 kWh, extending electric-only range and giving the Turbo S E-Hybrid noticeably more flexibility for daily commuting before the V8 needs to wake up. Power still routes through the eight-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission to all four wheels via Porsche Traction Management, with Launch Control enabling a 0-60 mph run in as little as 3.0 seconds. Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes and Porsche Active Suspension Management with adaptive air suspension both come standard, matching stopping power and chassis control to the car's outright pace.
Visually and functionally, the Turbo S E-Hybrid carries the flagship treatment throughout. Forged wheels, unique badging denoting the hybrid powertrain, and a charge port integrated into the front fender set it apart from the non-hybrid Turbo S, while the cabin retains the four-seat luxury layout and materials expected at the top of the Panamera lineup.
