The final 95B.3 refresh of the four-cylinder Macan lineup brought a genuine performance bump alongside the base model's usual visual and interior updates, and Porsche used the opportunity to introduce a new T variant for 2023, bringing the driver-focused T philosophy to an SUV for the first time in the badge's history.
Both the base Macan and Macan T share the same 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four, now tuned to 261 hp and 295 lb-ft, a 13 hp and 22 lb-ft bump over the outgoing pre-2022 tune. A 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission is standard on both, paired with all-wheel drive, no manual was ever offered on any Macan. Porsche quotes 0 to 60 mph in around 6.0 seconds for the base car.
The T doesn't add power, instead focusing entirely on chassis character: a unique tune for the standard adaptive dampers and all-wheel-drive system, the Sport Chrono Package as standard equipment (adding a Sport Plus drive mode with its own stability control calibration and launch control), 20-inch wheels with gray-painted accents, and sport seats trimmed in a distinctive woven fabric. Porsche also fits a smaller-diameter steering wheel to the T for a sharper, more direct feel. Weighing roughly 129 lbs less than the V6-powered S and GTS, the T trades outright power for genuine handling engagement, positioning itself as the enthusiast's pick within the four-cylinder Macan lineup for buyers who prioritize chassis feel over straight-line speed.
