The Turbo S launched alongside the Turbo and 4S for 2020 as the flagship of the entire Taycan lineup, and it made an immediate statement, Motor Trend and other outlets clocked it among the quickest production sedans they'd ever tested, EV or otherwise, at launch.
Output sits at 616 hp continuous, rising to 750 hp on overboost with Launch Control, backed by 774 lb-ft of torque, notably higher than the standard Turbo's torque figure despite the more modest power gap between the two trims. Porsche quotes 0 to 60 mph in 2.6 seconds. The Turbo S comes standard with the 93.4 kWh Performance Battery Plus pack, rear-axle steering, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control Sport, and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes as standard equipment rather than an option, the largest brake package offered on the Taycan. It shares its core dual-motor architecture and 2-speed rear transaxle with the rest of the AWD lineup, but every system carries Turbo S-specific tuning for maximum grip and stability under hard acceleration.
