Sitting one rung below the Turbo S E-Hybrid, the standard Turbo E-Hybrid is where the 976 lineup's electrified performance starts to get genuinely serious. The 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 makes 512 hp and 567 lb-ft on its own, paired with an electric motor integrated into the eight-speed PDK transmission for a combined 670 hp and 685 lb-ft of torque. That's enough to send it from 0-60 mph in 3.0 seconds flat, with a top speed of 195 mph, genuinely supercar-adjacent numbers wrapped in a four-door luxury sedan.
Porsche Traction Management all-wheel drive comes standard, and the 25.9 kWh battery, shared with the rest of the E-Hybrid lineup, delivers roughly 30 to 35 miles of EV-only range depending on conditions. Sport Chrono comes standard as well, bringing launch control and Sport Plus mode along with it. One notable distinction from the Turbo S E-Hybrid: rear-axle steering is optional on the standard Turbo E-Hybrid rather than standard, and the newly available Porsche Active Ride suspension, while offered on this trim, isn't bundled in the same way it is at the top of the range.
The Turbo E-Hybrid carries the same interior treatment found across the electrified 976 lineup: a Taycan-influenced cabin, extensive comfort and convenience features as standard, and the option to add ventilated and massaging seats front and rear for buyers spec'ing it as a true long-distance grand tourer.
