The Cayenne Electric marks Porsche's move to bring the PPE platform, first proven in the Macan, up to full-size SUV scale. Revealed in November 2025, it shares its 800-volt architecture and much of its underlying engineering with the Macan Electric and Audi's Q6 e-tron, but rides on a notably larger footprint, with a wheelbase stretched nearly 5 inches beyond the outgoing gas Cayenne to accommodate the bigger battery pack. A Coupe Electric fastback variant, mirroring the flyline silhouette of the combustion Cayenne Coupe, followed as a 2027 addition, offered across the same three trims as the standard SUV body.

The base Cayenne Electric produces 402 hp in normal operation, rising to 435 hp in launch control mode, with Porsche quoting 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. The Cayenne S Electric slots in the middle at 536 hp, jumping to 657 hp under launch control for a 3.6 second sprint to 60 mph. At the top, the Cayenne Turbo Electric makes 844 hp in regular driving, 1,017 hp for 10-second bursts using the Push to Pass function, and a full 1,139 hp in launch control mode, making it the most powerful production Porsche ever built, ahead of even the Taycan Turbo GT Weissach in outright horsepower, with 0 to 60 mph in 2.4 seconds. All three trims share a 113 kWh battery pack and 800-volt architecture, supporting up to 400 kW DC fast charging for a 10 to 80 percent charge in under 16 minutes, and the Cayenne Electric is the first Porsche to offer an inductive wireless charging option, albeit at a considerably slower rate than plugging in.
