The base Cayenne continued into the 958.2 facelift for the 2015 model year with its naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6 unchanged, still producing 300 hp (296 hp SAE) and 295 lb-ft of torque, while the S and GTS above it moved to twin-turbo six-cylinder engines. As the entry point into the lineup, the base Cayenne offered Porsche ownership and the 958.2 facelift's updated styling without the performance premium of the more powerful variants.
Paired with the standard 8-speed Tiptronic S automatic and all-wheel drive, the base Cayenne reaches 62 mph in 7.7 seconds and tops out at 143 mph.
Like the rest of the 958.2 lineup, the base Cayenne received the 2015 facelift's sharper front and rear styling, new LED daytime running lights, more angular headlights, and the latest Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment system.
