The Cayenne Turbo carried into the 957 facelift with more power and a redesigned face, while the Turbo S returned for 2009 as the range's ultimate expression, now with optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes available for the first time on a Cayenne. Both trims continued to represent the outright performance ceiling of the first-generation Cayenne platform.
The Turbo uses a 4.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 producing 500 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, a genuine step up from the outgoing 4.5-liter unit's 450 hp, with 0 to 60 mph arriving in around 4.9 seconds. The Turbo S, offered for 2009 and 2010, steps up to 550 hp and 553 lb-ft from the same 4.8-liter architecture, a 10 percent power increase and 7 percent torque increase over the standard Turbo, dropping 0 to 60 mph to approximately 4.7 seconds. Both trims came standard with air suspension, and the Turbo S added Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes as an available option alongside high-spec wheel and interior upgrades. A 6-speed Tiptronic automatic was the sole transmission on both trims, no manual was offered on the Turbo or Turbo S in this generation.
