Purchased this item in September for taking coffee to work. The factory packaging is custom fit with cutout foam to protect thermos in shipping. Bottle and cup are brushed stainless steel with raised crest on side of bottle. Mine was flawless. Seal on faux center lock cap is tight and leak free. Works like a dream-very attractive with intriguing styling.
