Painted Entry & Drive Key Plug

Replacement ignition switch dummy plug. For cars with the optional Entry & Drive system, this piece installs in the ignition switch to replace the key.  This can be used as a replacement for a damaged or missing plug, and now you can upgrade to this painted version to match the exterior or your car. This will replace the standard black or silver plug.  Common colors are in stock, rare colors must be ordered.

Fits the following models with the optional Entry & Drive system:
- Boxster Models 2013-2024
- Cayman Models 2013-2024
- 911 Carrera Models 2013-2019
- Cayenne Models 2011-2018
- Panamera Models 2009-2016
- Macan Models 2014-2024

Not returnable. Unsure of your Porsche's options? If your car does not have Entry & Drive, this piece will not start the car. Contact us with your VIN number and we will be happy to verify your options.

Installation Note: Turn your old key plug to the far left and hold it that way for 30 seconds. You will hear a click that unlocks the mechanism and you can then remove it. In some cases, the actual remote control key must be outside the car and out of range on the vehicle.

Great but instructions incorrect
(Oklahoma) | December 2nd, 2021
Very nice product and color match is perfect. The 1 star knock is due to the incorrect instructions on removing. Follow Lee from Huntsville for the correct way. See his Oct 2021 review. Thanks Lee Unlocked the car, made sure both keys out of range. Turned on and off and it unlocked and removed. Inserted new and started car. No issues and new one locked into place
Hard to Remove Old Switch
(Atlanta) | July 13th, 2017
The new painted ignition switch key is beautiful, Swapping out the old one with the new one is the tricky part. There's a special hook-type tool in the driver's side fusebox that you use to remove a small plastic cover that holds the ignition switch key in place. I broke off a small plastic pin on the cover removing it. I'm not sure if it's possible to remove it without breaking one of the 2 pins that holds it in place. You also run the risk of losing the small plastic cover because it's black and very small and has a tendency to fly away when you try to remove it or put it back in place.
