Porsche Sport Exhaust - Boxster 981 SKU: SKU981PSE

I'd been interested in the Boxster for years but never fell in love until I first saw the 981 redo. Wow. A couple of years later I was able to pick up a lightly used S. It had everything I wanted except for the sport exhaust. Now, 7 years later, I decided that my 981 would be a keeper for the long haul and it deserved to be brought up to its full potential. Still too pricey through Porsche dealerships, but definitely doable buying from Suncoast and having local shop The Porsche Specialists to the install. It has completely transformed my driving experience! Highly recommend for anyone missing that piece of the action.

Having had a Cayman GTS, I was already familiar with the tremendous sound from the sport exhaust system. I had always had regrets about not having it on our Boxster S. Fortunately, I was able to add it as a dealer installed option. Now our Boxster has a raw throaty sound, along with gurgles and pops when you let off of the gas. It is truly music to any enthusiasts ears! Fortunately, when you desire to make it more quiet, you can simply switch it off. I highly recommend this addition!

Purchased this item in January 2017 to fit a 2013 981 Boxster S. Stock exhaust just did not have the sound I wanted even when compared to my 2003 986 Boxster S. Suncoast provided quick shipping. Exhaust arrived in one really big box weighing around 70 lbs. Installation was completed by my local Porsche dealer. No problems with parts at all. Sound difference is only noticed at higher rev's. When I switch to Sport Plus it is downright entertaining with burbles and pops! Still worth the expense if you have not made this upgrade. Should be standard equipment.
