Stainless steel trim for the driver and passenger side front door sills with "Macan" logo. Can be installed on your existing door sills with some modifications. Intended for Macan base models (2.0T 4-cylinder).

Modifications are required to install this logos. For the best results, the door sill has to be removed and holes need to be drilled.

Door sill macan
(FL) | October 7th, 2023
The only thing my macan was missing was the door sill. Always thought they dropped the ball when it came to the plastic Macan sill, anyway, I was apprehensive to try these but the upgrade is SO WORTH it. They look forest and fit great.. I opted to follow the install instructions provided above and removed the clips sanded them down, removed the felt and glue, and used the 3m molding tape (thin) and they fit like a glove.., thank you for the how to details !! I love mine and the way they look!

Good Product

Recommendations of others are sound. But let me add a few items. I used the thinner 3M tape instead of the wider so I had more control where I ran the strips of adhesion on the underside of the piece. Second, I used my wife’s blow dryer to heat each piece after install to encourage final adhesion instead of dealing with the liquid adhesion enhancer others are talking about. The heat worked just fine to encourage adhesion - just use a cloth while firmly pushing down after heating to finalize the install to avoid contact with the heated surface of the part. Finally, yes, removing the glue left after peeling off the black felt liner that comes with the part is a pain. But you can save time by not hurrying removing it. Roll the felt along and try to remove as much of the glue layer you can. Try to leave only a thin layer of the remaining glue on the underside surface of the part. Spray a couple rounds of Goof-Off and scrub with a firm toothbrush and your thumbnail before wiping out with a cloth. Repeat until shiny and then apply the 3M tape. A very enjoyable install and looks great!!
Easy install and dresses up the plastic sill nicely

As others already stated, if you follow the instructions in the prior reviews, the install is easy. I used the wire cutter on a blunt nose pliers to clip off the tabs. I used a Dremel tool to file down the nubs to be even with the edge of the plate. And the most labor intensive part is removing the glue residue from the black felt which I used GooGone and it took about 30 minutes or so to dissolve the glue and scrape with a plastic spatula. The passenger side plate was a bit tighter fit than the driver side for some reason so I had to insert the both ends first and then press down on the middle. The driver side fit like a glove. I used a single layer of 3M VHB double-sided foam tape around the perimeter of each plate. Peeling the red liner was a PITA. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B093Q2BRSD/ I also used adhesion promoter which you apply and leave for 30-90 seconds before affixing the plate. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B098747W2K I'd recommend you peel the red liner before you apply the adhesion promoter so you are ready to go.
Looks Great!

Looks great, should have been included as part of the original build. Installation as described by others. Suggested for all Macan owners without it.
Love them!

Is as advertised

I received these sill plates in the mail yesterday and did as the others suggested with using tin snips to take off the tabs, grinding them flush with a metal file and taking the felt off the back. Word of warning though, the glue removal is the hardest part, even using glue removal liberally it’s a lot of work. Also the 3M tape is great but taking off the backing from the tape isn’t easy, you can find some pointers on YouTube. You’ll need to double up on it as it’s not thing enough at single thickness (even on raised lettering). Install from there is easy, just line it up and set it down putting some pressure on it for a few seconds. Once you’re done though there’s zero visual difference between doing it this way and the picture of it done by drilling into the panel. The 3M auto tape it pretty strong stuff so it should last longer than the car itself.
Great Product

I was surprised that these are Porsche factory stainless steel parts! To add these to my Macan would have been over $300. Same look for so much less. I also removed the tabs, metal filed the nubs and used heavy duty 3M tape and it worked great. Thanks!
Excellent quality for the price!

As a genuine OEM part, I wasn't surprised with how well these were made. The finish has the right amount of sheen - more on the matte side - and complements well with the rest of the metal trims on the car. Just for quality alone, it's deserving of 5 stars. Installation-wise, I just followed SD Tom and RVS' input (see comments above) and got these one pretty easily. Just be sure to sand down the tabs (what's left of them) well, to guarantee a snug fit. As for the mounting tape, I used 3M's and found that one layer wasn't thick enough for the back end to stick well to the plastic trim. I had to apply a second layer (especially near the tips) and carefully trim the edges, so that it sticks firmly to the plastic and that no trace of the tape is seen. Delivery-wise, it's just as expected from Suncoast - went real smooth! Excellent service. Hope this helps. Cheers!
Looks like they came with the car
(San Diego) | June 22nd, 2019
I asked my wife to go out and look at what I had done with the car and gave her a hint, around the doors. She came back without a clue. They look like they belong and are subtle enough to dress up the entry on the driver's and passenger's door sills. A shout out goes to customer service for resolving an annoyance quickly and professionally. Like the other reviewer I did not want to remove the sill. I used tin snips to trim the pins and then a small metal file to take the nubs down to the rim level. I removed the tape and used alcohol to remove the glue. Then I added 3M body tape and put into place. Looks like they came with the car. Subtle but adds a lot next to the power seat panel on each side.
