You know that sound that happens when your window is down at speed that makes it feel like your head is going to implode? That’s called wind buffeting. It happens when you’re moving fast, and it’s quite the issue on the newest generation of Porsche Boxster, Cayman, and 911 Carrera models.

Made by AWE Tuning, this diffuser boasts an unobtrusive yet elegant design. Crafted from UV stabilized injection-molded plastic, it complements Porsche styling without calling unwanted attention. Once installed, driving with the windows open will be more comfortable and more quiet. A simple solution to a common gripe among Porsche owners.

Features:

  • Simple, quick installation for late production 981, 991, and 718 models for earlier production please see install guide first.
  • The elegant solution for Porsche 981, 991, & 718 wind buffeting
  • UV stabilized injection-molded plastic for the perfect OE-style look

    Worth It!
    (North Carolina) | September 2nd, 2021
I was a little skeptical of these prior to purchasing them. Now I'm a believer! I have virtually NO wind noise now, windows up or down. I can hear the beautiful tone of my new Soul exhaust system very clearly. I am super happy with these, and I highly recommend them!
    Works as advertised

Works great and was easy to install. Feels cheap but has a good appearance. No regrets.
These are a must have for a 991.2 Cab.

I recently purchased a 2018 991.2 Cabriolet. The wind buffeting with one or both of the windows down was outrageous. I found these and they work flawlessly. I agree with other reviews that they are overpriced and are a bit cheap looking. If there was an option that was more OEM the price would be more justified. Either way they work well.
Everything is flawless except the price

If you are looking to purchase this, you are likely already expecting its overpriced but have other have said and I can contest, its performs flawlessly and its almost a necessity. I suppose thats why I and many others are still willing to pay so much $$ for something that should cost 95% less.
    Works but grossly overpriced

Like others state. They do work but the Porsche tax is obscenely evident. Installed on a 991.2 Targa GTS. Really helps while driving with the windows down. Installation was a breeze. Would buy them again but still bitch about the price. At $49.99 they would still be raking it in.

Ridiculous price for how cheaply made, but they do work.
Can you say 10,000% profit margin? Yea, they work, but WAY overpriced.

Can you say 10,000% profit margin? Yea, they work, but WAY WAY WAY overpriced. These should be a $12 item, tops.
Worth it! Installation easy on the second door;)

What most other reviewers said about effectiveness, to wit: buffeting gone, fit/finish very good (one poster mentioned a gap but check your stock triangles before removal and you'll see the oem's have the same gap), worth it. For early 991's , installation isn't hard but it's not plug/play like on newer 911's. Getting the four plastic trip pieces and four bolts off is a breeze after you've done it once. Removing and reinstalling the door is also simple once you've done it once. My only caveat is to make sure you fully connect the blue multiprong door plug before reinstalling the door. There's a little purple plastic hinge that kind of ensures it's fully pushed in, but the first time I did it none of my door/window functions worked. Took door off again and saw that I hadn't pushed the blue plug in all the way. Once it's in, you'll know it by how far in it goes. I could now install two AWE's diffusers in under 10 mins per side. If you're in the Bay Area and want to avoid the learning curve on an early 991.1 (i.e., door removal required), drop by and I'll help you out! I'm in Redwood City (Emerald Hills), davidavilalaw@gmail.com. Cheers!
    They really do work
    (North Bethesda, MD) | October 30th, 2020
Completely worth the price, they almost completely remove all buffeting at any speed when the passenger window is closed and the driver's window is open. Unless you have a very early 981, the install takes 5-10 minutes per side, and if you do it right, anyone will think they are OEM. Too bad Porsche doesn't install them from the factory.
    They really do work

I know what your thinking $80 for two pieces of plastic, but I can tell you they really do work. If you want to get rid of the wind buffeting and drive with one or two windows open at any speed this is the only way to do it. I have a 991.1 and before the wind diffusers I needed to open the sunroof with the windows open. They fit well also.
