Exact replacement for the factory cable. I use it with a Bovee 1000 to automatically connect to my iPhone. Allows me to stream Spotify to the PCM....works like a charm. Product was shipped out quickly...just wish shipping charges to Canada were more reasonable.

Combine this with the Bovee 1000 and you can stream Spotify et al through the PCM . Relatively inexpensive solution to the PCM 3.0 shortcomings and works like a charm!

There aren't a lot of music solutions if you own a 997.2 unless you want to throw in serious money. However if you have an older iPOD this is the perfect solution. It plays music perfectly and keeps it charged.

Is it supposed to charge the phone as well? Mine doesn't. Thank you.

I bought this to modernize my 2010 911. Used in conjunction with the Bovee 1000 I can connect to my current iPhone to listen to music wirelessly. What a great feeling. The connector and Bovee 1000 fit perfectly in the small compartment and now I can throw on some Metallica or a podcast with ease.

I bought this cable from Sun Coast Parts for my 2009 Porche 911 S CAB (997.2), and it works perfectly. I connected the cable to ipod port on the car, and a Bovee WMA-1000 bluetooth adapter, and it works perfect with my iphone for calls or streaming music.

Just got this baby for my 2009 911 Turbo and it worked perfectly with my iphone 6S. Now you need to purchase the 30 pin adaptor from apple to make it work but once you hook it up - off you go! All the names of the songs, artist, etc. come up on the screen. I also agree that my new phone does NOT fit into the center console since my phone is too big but that is a car problem not the adaptor!

You need this cable if you have the PCM 3.0 and want to interface and power your iPod. Seems strange to have to have two plugs but you need it to get the power. You need a Lightning to 30 pin adapter for some new devices like the iPhone 5.
