Roof Rack - Cayman 987 SKU: 98780110500

The rack came in a regular box, none of the individual parts were packaged either. Looks like it had all been used, returned, and then packaged and sent to me. Two of the supports were in a plastic ups shipping envelope, two were just inside the box with the cross bars. Neither had the lock washers or o-ring retainers on the bolts. Everything had wear marks, the labeling stickers on the cross bars were faded, dirty, and peeling on the edges. There are rust spots on the inside of the cross bars where the locks pull out, and the rubber cross bar weather stripping insert for the rear cross bar has shrunk and no longer fits flush to the ends. The instructions were worn, previously folded, dirty, and fitted inside a binder sleeve protector. It obviously fits and works as Porsche designed and intended, however I paid full price for a new product, and received something used, obviously worn, and missing certain parts.

This rack installs fairly easily (excellent YouTube video) and is solid and very functional. At list price it is very pricey, on sale it is reasonable. Glad I got it for the those biking and canoeing trips. Glad I have it.

Installation within 10 minutes, 5 minutes to remove, great look and quality. Fits perfectly..
